Dr. James Lugo-Rodriguez, MD, is a dedicated primary care physician with a passion for proactive preventive medicine and value-based care. Growing up in Puerto Rico, he has a deep appreciation for diverse populations, particularly the Hispanic community, and is fluent in both Spanish and English. Dr. Lugo-Rodriguez completed his Family Medicine residency at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas and earned his medical degree from Ponce Health Sciences University School of Medicine. He is board-certified in Family Medicine and Obesity Medicine. Known for establishing long-term relationships and connecting personally with his patients, Dr. Lugo-Rodriguez values getting to know them and their families. Outside of his professional life, he is an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys spending time with family and friends, and competing in triathlons and marathons, embodying the active lifestyle he encourages among his patients.
